A comprehensive checkup of your dog to ensure they remain happy and healthy.
Peeing in the house is not always behavioural! It can be a symptom of several very serious medical conditions. We offer a full in-house laboratory to provide quick analyses of urine and feces samples. In conjunction with blood testing, a urinalysis can provide information on the kidneys, see if there is a bladder infection and if there are any concerns within the urinary system. A urinalysis will also detect if your dog has diabetes.
Routine fecal analyses are always beneficial for the health of your dog. While adult worms can sometimes be shed in the feces and can then be seen with the naked eye, the majority of intestinal parasites can only be detected with the use of a microscopic fecal exam. By observing your dog’s feces for the possibility of worms, blood or mucus, you can note any changes or abnormalities and report them to your veterinarian.
Monitoring your dog’s elimination habits for any changes in frequency, colour and odour will help you to notice when your dog is feeling out of sorts. Once a urine sample has been collected and tested, a treatment plan will be made based on the severity of the infection.
